What a neat activity! I've never seen a sound gun. I can see 2nd graders enjoying this experiment and the fact that it makes the paper move should be a great opportunity to discuss your concepts. I think this can create some higher order thinking.
Jannie- I will probably ask them to give me some examples as to how sound waves can produce movement. Tiffany- I wouldn't tell them exactly what will happen, I would just let them guess and then test it out to see! Jeremy- I would modify it by adding more or less scientific terms and by going into more or less detail. Regina- Thank you very much and I really hope it does!
